In order to obtain optimal results of your skin therapy and to prevent complications, certain conditions apply before you can be treated.
You cannot undergo skin therapy if:
you have taken accutane (Isotretinoin) in the last six months.
you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
you took glycolic acid, salicylic acid or retinol/retinoids 5 days before the treatment.
you have liver or kidney disease. Chemical peels in particular are then strictly forbidden.
you have an active cold sore or any other infection in the treatment area.
you are sick or have a fever.
you do not want to or will not be able to avoid sunlight in the first six weeks after treatment.
you suffer from body dysmorphic disorder, or have an unrealistic self-image or unrealistic expectations of treatment.
you are a heavy smoker.
your skin has been regularly exposed to the sun in the six weeks prior to the treatment, laser treatments are not permitted. You must also avoid sun exposure for six weeks after the treatment, even if you wear a high SPF of 30 or more.
you use certain medications, such as immunosuppressants.
you have hypertrophic scars or keloid.
you have recently had surgery in the area to be treated.
